Job Summary:
As an Emergency Restoration Water Technician, you will be responsible for providing immediate and efficient restoration services to residential and commercial properties affected by water damage and emergencies. You will work alongside a team of restoration professionals to mitigate water damage, extract water, dry affected areas, and restore affected properties to their pre-damage condition. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in physically demanding environments.Responsibilities:
1. Respond to emergency restoration calls promptly and effectively to assess water damage situations and develop appropriate restoration plans.
2. Utilize specialized equipment and tools to extract water and moisture, and set up drying equipment to prevent further damage.
3. Conduct thorough inspections to identify the extent of water damage, including hidden moisture and potential structural issues.
4. Perform demolition and removal of damaged materials under the guidance of lead restoration professionals to prepare affected areas for restoration.
5. Monitor and document drying progress using moisture meters, hygrometers, and thermal imaging cameras to ensure effective drying and mitigation of water damage.
6. Apply antimicrobial treatments and disinfect affected areas to prevent mold growth and eliminate potential health risks.
7. Safely handle and transport contaminated materials, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
8. Collaborate with the restoration team to develop comprehensive restoration plans, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources.
9. Provide accurate documentation and reports detailing the restoration process, including progress updates and inventory management.
10. Communicate and educate clients on the restoration process, answering any questions or concerns they may have.
11. Continuously update knowledge of restoration techniques, equipment, and industry trends to enhance skills and provide exceptional service.
12.Perform and supervise crews of 1-3 when conducting demolition, debris removal of affected areas.
13.Monitor, document and report drying progress and measurements into encircle and to the project manager.Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous experience in emergency restoration or related field is preferred.
3. Knowledge of water mitigation and restoration techniques, equipment, and procedures.
4. Ability to operate and maintain a wide range of restoration equipment, including water extraction units, air movers, dehumidifiers, and moisture meters.
5. Understanding of water damage restoration standards, guidelines, and safety protocols.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify hidden moisture and potential structural damage.
3. Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor tasks.
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with clients, teammates, and other stakeholders.
5. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites.
