On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Software Developer - Generative AI to join our Client's team on a contract basis. This role is Hybrid and the Client is based in Richmond, BC.Summary of the Role
The Software Developer - Generative AI will support the integration of large language models (LLMs) into intelligent systems. Working within a cross-functional Innovation Team, this role emphasizes hands-on prototyping, rapid development, and implementing generative AI solutions to address complex business needs.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPrototype and implement AI-driven solutions using LLMsIntegrate agentic systems into business processesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative tools and applicationsDeploy solutions on Azure Cloud using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesCommunicate technical concepts to diverse audiences and contribute to team learningCore RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related STEM field3+ years of experience as a software developer with recent AI/LLM integration experienceProficiency in Python and AI/ML frameworks (e.g., OpenAI SDKs, LangChain, Hugging Face)Strong experience with C#, .NET Core, object-oriented designFamiliarity with agent-based design tools like AutoGen or Semantic KernelDesired Skills & ExperienceUnderstanding of RAG, GraphRAG, and vector databases (e.g., Cosmos DB, pgvector, Qdrant)Experience deploying solutions in Azure CloudFamiliarity with Azure AI servicesExperience building APIs and CI/CD pipelinesKnowledge of Agile development practicesTerms
This is a 12-month contract with potential for extension. The role requires working onsite in Richmond 3 days per week.
