- Perform services on electrical, hydraulic, power train, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment (bucket & digger trucks).
- Maintain and service a fleet of trucks and trailers.
- Maintain and service a fleet of construction equipment.
- Complete service and repair sheets for maintenance records.
- Ensure all Workplace Safety, Environmental and National Safety Code Policies and Regulations are being adhered to.
- Coordinate and schedule work with management & vendors.
- Interact directly with operations team(s).
- Liaison with suppliers.
- Read diagrams/schematics and manufacturers repair manuals for work procedures.
- Operate a hoist and lift device to position machinery parts in a safe manner.
- Inspect and examine vehicles and equipment.
- Lubricate, service, diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and equipment.
- Timely and accurate diagnosis and repair including computer connection/diagnosis with machine to identify fault codes.
- Provide guidance and instruction to less experienced, or apprentice maintenance personnel.
- Perform hands on maintenance and repairs of all equipment.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic troubles and make repairs per the manufacturer's specifications.
- Utilize computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes.
- Suggest positive changes to policy and procedures as required.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Maintain excellent customer relations.
- Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns.
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Heavy lifting required.
- Valid license in good standing is required.
- Experience on maintaining Drum Pullers and Tensioners needed
- Truck and Coach Service License is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in equipment and vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge.
- Heavy lifting required.
- Effective interpersonal skills (spoken and written communication).
- High school diploma is an asset.
