We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. iOS Engineer to join our Selling team at eBay. As a senior member of the team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our iOS applications that empower sellers to manage their eBay listings efficiently and effectively.You will work closely with multi-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that improve the seller experience, using GraphQL and a Federated Graph architecture. Additionally, you will mentor and lead iOS engineers, fostering growth and excellence within the team.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance iOS applications using Swift UI for the Selling team.Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features.Develop and integrate GraphQL APIs, applying a Federated Graph architecture to improve data access and management.Optimize the application for maximum speed, scalability, and usability.Ensure the quality of the application through code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration.Stay up-to-date with the latest iOS development trends and technologies, including Swift UI, and share knowledge with the team.Fix and resolve technical issues and bugs.Mentor and lead iOS engineers, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.Contribute to important planning and decision-making processes within the team.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.10+ years of professional experience in iOS development.Strong proficiency in Swift, Objective-C, and Swift UI.Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, and Core Graphics.Extensive experience with GraphQL and Federated Graph architecture.Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools such as Instruments.Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.Experience with Agile development methodologies.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Proven ability to mentor and lead iOS engineers, fostering growth and innovation.Additional DetailsThis job posting relates to an existing vacancy within eBay.eBay is an equal opportunity employer.
