Own your direction, Own your development and Own your path.What you’ll doPre-Mixer plays a critical role in preparing raw materials and ensuring the feed mill operates smoothly and efficiently. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration and supporting with the Machine Operators and other team members.Weigh and prepare raw materials according to production specifications, ensuring accurate proportions, operate and maintain pre-mixing equipment, ensuring it functions correctly and efficientlyConduct regular checks to ensure raw materials meet quality standards, adhere to and enforce safety protocols, particularly during material handlingKeep accurate records of raw materials and report any shortages or discrepanciesCollaborate and support Machine Operators with pelleting machine primarily running PM1, work closely with the Machine Operator to ensure seamless handoff and production flowParticipate in initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce wasteWho we’re looking forGrade 12 or equivalent.Experience working in a Feed Mill or manufacturing environment preferredAbility to work with a team but also self-motivated to be able to work independently with minimal supervisionMechanically inclined, with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues​Use of personal protective equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety boots, etc.) as requiredCapable of operating equipment and working at heights when requiredYou’ll also needAbility to regularly bend, twist, climb ladders, open/close lids and stand for extended periods, ability to lift and move up to 25 kg (55 lbs) regularlyComfortable performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced physically demanding environment, comfortable working in a dusty, noisy, and variable-temperature environmentKnowledge of raw materials and feed mill operations an assetHave training and forklift driving experience (an asset)Rotating shifts may be required, including occasional weekends or extended hours based on operational needsWhat you’ll receiveAs part of Nutreco, you’ll be a member of the SHV family, a diverse group of companies with global footprint.
