- Developing and maintaining customer relationships across regional locations, evaluating business opportunities, and creating customer-specific value propositions and implementation plans while selling value-added solutions.
- Contributing to the annual regional sales plan; developing and executing account strategies to achieve sales and growth targets; developing and negotiating customer contracts as required.
- Ensuring all regional sales activities are accurately documented and communicated through the CRM system, including site/visit reports, contact records, account plans, opportunities and threats, leads, and sample follow-ups.
- Providing forecasts of future customer demand and sales performance to support supply chain, controlling, and business management requirements.
- Implementing business and pricing strategies while managing customer receivables and overdue accounts.
- Gathering market and customer insights and sharing relevant information with internal stakeholders.
- Monitoring competitor activities and developing actions to prevent or limit their market penetration.
- Traveling approximately 30-40%.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical or petrochemical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Bring a minimum of 10 years of oilfield experience (laboratory, field services, sales, marketing, etc.), including at least 4 years in sales or technical sales with strong product and market knowledge.
- Demonstrate strong selling capabilities, including lead identification and follow-up, deal closing, negotiation, and project management.
- Have oilfield chemicals experience is preferred.
- Exhibit the ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional, matrixed organization to drive alignment and engagement.
- Show excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence key decision-makers.
- Maintain strong interpersonal skills to build productive relationships across disciplines, business units, and diverse cultural backgrounds, both internally and externally.
- Offer proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft-based tools, with CRM Salesforce experience preferred.
- Hold in-depth application knowledge of oilfield chemicals (cementing, stimulation, production chemicals) and familiarity with BASF systems and forecasting processes.
