- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen member relationships and leverage broader Beem capabilities, systems, and data.
- Lead a disciplined business development program in the assigned market, including marketing strategies and sales plans for prospects and existing members to drive sustainable portfolio growth.
- Source and close new deposit and cash management opportunities; grow Beem’s deposit book and fee income through proactive outreach, joint calls, and targeted campaigns.
- Partner with Commercial Relationship Managers to negotiate and structure complex, integrated solutions that meet client needs and strengthen profitability and retention.
- Interact primarily with Senior Officers i.e. CFO, CEO and Senior Treasury staff of Municipalities, and Large Diversified members with complex deposit and transactional needs.
- Ensure key relationships receive ongoing attention to maintain, improve, grow, and retain the relationship; actively manage a pipeline and portfolio health.
- Understand the Fixed Income Market and how to advise on structuring complex business investment needs to ensure they align with their goals.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert in commercial payments, cash management, and treasury deposit solutions, advising on best-fit configurations (collections, payables, liquidity, information reporting).
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, regulatory changes, and service enhancements; translate insights into product recommendations and client strategies.
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, and partner organizations (e.g., Central 1/CCUA) to review, enhance, and launch product offerings that improve member experience and operational efficiency.
- Support expansion of online resources and digital adoption for cash management products; advocate for a digital-first approach.
- Work with Finance/Treasury to develop pricing and profitability tools and apply the customer profitability model to structure competitive, value-accretive deals.
- Conduct account analysis for complex relationships; recommend strategies to sustain margins, optimize fee structures, and increase balances/usage.
- Approve pricing within delegated authority, ensuring consistency with policy and alignment to portfolio objectives.
- Partner with Marketing to design and execute campaigns, collateral, and content that promote cash management solutions and drive lead generation.
- Conduct joint member calls with Commercial Relationship Managers; coach teams on positioning treasury solutions and uncovering non-credit opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal partners (Operations, Legal/Compliance, Risk, Technology) to ensure seamless onboarding and a superior client experience.
- Partner with Marketing to design and execute campaigns, collateral, and content that promote cash management solutions and drive lead generation.
- Conduct joint member calls with Commercial Relationship Managers; coach teams on positioning treasury solutions and uncovering non-credit opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal partners (Operations, Legal/Compliance, Risk, Technology) to ensure seamless onboarding and a superior client experience.
- Ensure all activities adhere to governing regulations, Beem’s policies and procedures, and AML/ATF/sanctions requirements.
- Embed Beem’s risk appetite and risk culture in daily decisions; proactively identify and mitigate operational and conduct risks.
- Uphold operational excellence and effective day-to-day controls; champion Beem’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 4-6 years of experience in a commercial financial sales/service environment, with strong track record in cash management, payments, and deposit solutions.
- Experience collaborating with Commercial Relationship Managers on complex solution structuring; solid understanding of commercial credit fundamentals and due diligence for moderate-to-higher complexity deals.
- Strong sales/closing, networking, and relationship management skills; exceptional communication and interpersonal capabilities.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and commercial banking platforms; data-driven approach to pricing and portfolio optimization.
- Ability to travel within the market as needed; hybrid work with periodic in-office presence based on business needs.
