Jr. Field Technician

- Assist with borehole drilling operations (auger, rotary, and sampling programs)
- Support soil sampling, SPT testing, and field logging
- Monitor drilling activities and document subsurface conditions
- Coordinate with drill crews and project managers in the field
- Maintain field notes and assist with borehole log preparation
- Support environmental permit application processes
- Conduct environmental monitoring (e.g., erosion and sediment control inspections)
- Complete groundwater and surface water sampling programs
- Assist with Environmental Assessment (EA) field components
- Support implementation and monitoring of ESC measures
- Prepare field reports and daily summaries
- Assist with technical reporting for geotechnical and environmental projects
- Maintain accurate records of field observations and test results
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, permits, and health & safety requirements
- Adhere to all company and regulatory health and safety requirements
- Follow established field procedures and best practices
- Maintain field equipment in good working condition
- Support a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
- 0–3 years of relevant experience (co-op or internships considered an asset)
- Strong interest in field-based work and outdoor environments
- Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours when required
