The General Laborer is experienced and knowledgeable of all trades and will be able to lend a hand with facility and grounds maintenance, general repairs and operating vehicles and equipment when needed. Work with the Maintenance Tech to provide input on the preventive maintenance plan and complete regular maintenance checks on equipment
Perform routine and minor repairs of dorms and kitchens
Safely operate vehicles and use power tools
Manage snow removal, sanding and road maintenance
Work on demolition projects
Work on roofing projects
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum one year experience working in general trades
Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
Fall Arrest Certification
Maintenance or general laborer experience in a remote environment is an asset
Roofing and demolition project experience is an asset
A problem solver with great communication, customer service and teamwork skills
You are comfortable working outside in all kinds of weather and can safely lift up to 50 lbs
