- Set up new development projects, including business number registrations, entity setup in the accounting system, organizational charts, share subscriptions, and bank accounts
- Manage end-to-end project invoice processing, from review to payment (cheque, wire, bill payment, EFT)
- Manage cash flows for each project and prepare partner cash calls and bank draw requests
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Update project budgets and provide regular financial reporting to project managers
- Collaborate daily with project managers, finance team members, vendors, and external partners to support the success of each project
- Play a key role with month-end and year-end close and prepare documentation for internal teams and external auditors
- Support ad-hoc analysis and special accounting projects as needed
- Prepare and file government submissions including HST returns and T5018 statements

- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- CPA designation or pursuing is an asset
- 2-5 years of project accounting experience
- Industry experience in real estate development, construction, or project-based environments
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills-comfortable working cross-functionally in an onsite team environment
- Solid problem-solving, organizational, and critical-thinking abilities
- Experience with job costing or project accounting software is an asset
