Fantastic permanent hire opportunity in either Edmonton or CalgaryAgilus is recruiting for a Snr Control Systems Engineer in the Oil & Gas Industry in Edmonton, Alberta. You will design, develop, and optimize control systems for a variety of applications. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient solutions that meet client needs. What's in it for you:
  • 100K - 165K annually
  • Bonus: Based on company performance
  • Vacation: 3-4 Weeks, flexible based on Experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain control systems, including hardware and software integration
  • Prepare technical documentation, including datasheets and system specifications
  • Develop control algorithms, control narratives, and system logic for automation applications.
  • Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and other automation equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
  • Perform system testing, debugging, and validation to ensure optimal performance
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams as needed.
Successful candidates will have:
  • Ideal candidate will come from EPC, OEM or System Integrator background in Canada
  • 10 to 15+ years of experience
  • Rockwell would be their primary need.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of control theory, automation systems, and industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, PROFIBUS).
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, Siemens) and HMI/SCADA development is an asset.
  • Familiarity with advanced technologies such as IoT, AI, or machine learning in control applications is an asset.
  • Experience with CAD software for electrical schematics.
