- Financial Modeling & Strategy: Build and maintain our long-range operating model, including integrated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow projections.
- Fundraising & Board Relations: Lead the preparation for future funding rounds and own the monthly/quarterly financial reporting for our Board of Directors.
- Revenue Operations & Billing: Oversee the end-to-end billing process, ensuring accurate invoicing, managing subscription lifecycles, and resolving any billing disputes or discrepancies.
- AR & Collections: Own Accounts Receivable (AR) by monitoring aging reports, proactively following up on overdue accounts, and optimizing our Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) to maximize liquidity.
- Full-Cycle Reconciliation: Manage the monthly close process, including bank and credit card reconciliations, to ensure our books are accurate, audit-ready, and reflect the true state of the business.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor with extreme precision, providing early warnings and strategic recommendations for capital allocation.
- Operational Infrastructure: Implement and manage our tech stack (ERP, payroll, spend management, cap table) to automate manual processes as we scale.
- Budgeting & Departmental Partnership: Collaborate with Department Heads to set budgets, track variances, and optimize ROI on headcount and spend.
- Compliance & Risk: Manage tax filings, annual audits, insurance renewals, and regulatory compliance.
- Relevant Experience: 5+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally with a mix of "Big 4" accounting/IB and a leadership role at a high-growth VC-backed startup.
- Modeling Mastery: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills—you should be able to build complex, dynamic models that are both robust and easy for others to navigate.
- Strategic Intuition: The ability to look past the data to identify business trends, risks, and opportunities for operational efficiency.
- Startup Grit: A "no task is too small" mentality. You’re comfortable jumping between a board deck and an un-categorized transaction in accounting software.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to distill complex financial concepts into actionable insights for non-finance teammates.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; a CPA or MBA is a significant plus but not a dealbreaker for the right experience.
