- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, consultants, contractors, and end users
- Review contracts and address unfavorable clauses and conditions
- Take ownership of project financial performance
- Estimate costs, manage changes, and prepare tenders
- Source and purchase materials and equipment
- Collaborate with the Power Quality Manager, Coordinators, and Service Electricians to schedule preventative maintenance and small projects
- Oversee projects and maintain a regular presence on job sites
- Review labour and job status reports for accuracy and adjust as needed
- Arrange completion of project manuals and Power Quality reports
- Ensure deficiencies are resolved promptly by Service Electricians
- Confirm as-built drawings are completed and delivered to customers
- Wrap up projects by reviewing successes and challenges with the foreman and superintendent
- Finalize documentation to ensure accurate billing and project closeout
- Electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree, or Electrical Technologist diploma
- 2–3 years of experience in electrical project management and/or estimating
- Knowledge of Power Quality or Preventative Maintenance
- Familiarity with high-voltage electrical work
- Experience with estimating software, especially Accubid Pro and Change Order, asset
- FSR B or A certification, asset
- Basic understanding of arc flash studies, infrared scanning, power factor improvement, and UPS systems
- Sharp attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Solid computer skills, including MS Office applications
