Whether you're developing new products or enhancing existing ones, your contributions will help Komatsu deliver smarter, safer, and more efficient solutions.If you're passionate about engineering excellence and thrive in a collaborative environment, this is your opportunity to make a lasting mark.Key Job ResponsibilitiesDesign & InnovationDevelop mechanical systems using SolidWorks and CAD toolsSimulate performance using Ansys and other modeling softwareCreate 3D layouts, drawings, and schematics for parts and assembliesSelect components and materials based on performance, cost, and manufacturabilityTesting & ValidationDefine testing criteria and validation methods aligned with industry standardsConduct system testing and troubleshooting using advanced diagnostic toolsPrepare detailed documentation including engineering calculations, FEA and CFD reportsCollaboration & SupportParticipate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiativesSupport production teams during equipment buildsAssist aftermarket and field teams with commissioning and troubleshootingCompliance & SafetyEnsure designs meet Komatsu's safety policies and applicable regulationsIdentify and report unsafe work habits and promote safer solutions * Maintain quality standards and seek opportunities to improve work outputQualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or C.Eng. Tech
  • 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in mobile equipment
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ANSYS, and MATLAB
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of mechanical system integration, testing, and diagnostics
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for underground mining equipmen
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning
