You will drive Procurement knowledge (market, suppliers, external intelligence) into the development process to support the Front-end-Sales and Project Execution Hoist teams by implementing, maintaining, and complying with the Procurement approved practices and activities. Process Industries division delivers complete electrification and automation solutions, industry-specific products and lifecycle services across industries. Engineering and delivering automation solutions from device to monitoring and control make our customers get more out of their investment; digitalization solutions including collaborative operations and augmented reality help improve plant and enterprise productivity, reduce maintenance and energy costs. Our engineering, project management, services and solutions portfolio covers a wide range of industries - Mining, Pulp & Paper, Metals, Aluminum and Cement, Data centers and Food and Beverage.Your responsibilities
  • Designs and implements plans for local sourcing to reach the business targets.
  • Responsible for all Procurement gate model activities, arranging project Procurement gate meetings as required and creating and maintaining the project related to Procurement documents.
  • Manages supply risk by eliminating single sources for new critical components.
  • Identifies new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team.
  • Negotiates agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews pricelists, terms, and conditions.
  • Applies and implements PL standards, tools, and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability.
  • Creates and updates reports, as required, following the ABB standards.
  • Executes and implements new directions within the area of responsibility.
Your background
  • Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering or other relevant business certification.
  • 5 years or more in the field of Procurement.
  • Technical knowledge in Machining and Fabrication industry.
  • Experience in Cost Engineering, Sourcing, Quality and Proposals.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, SAP Ariba.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal/written French and English, presentation skills to all levels in an organization and strong problem solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Mining Industry background considered a plus.
