Shift Start times:
5:15 am OR 10:00 amPosition Summary:General Labourer performs a variety of manual or machine-assisted tasks with duties involved in the processing of turkey products ready for shipment. The position requires initiative, willingness to learn all processes and to follow strict hygiene and health and safety regulations.A Typical day:
  • Handle, inspect and prepare poultry for next step processing
  • Cut, trim, and sort prima sections
  • Work on a production line, performing various cuts
  • Package and label products
  • Carry out other tasks related to the processing of turkey for shipping and further processing
What You Bring to the Role:
  • Production related experience is an asset
  • A commitment to SAFETY and QUALITY practices
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment to meet production deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated hand-eye coordination
  • Comfortable working in a turkey processing facility, handling raw meat;
The Working Environment:
  • Physically demanding,
  • Standing for long periods
  • Cut/Packaging department is refrigerated
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physical and repetitive job duties
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to communicate and understand English
