At Pangeo we pride ourselves at being globally competitive and continue to strive for excellence every day.Porter Engineered Systems is proudly manufacturing automotive parts for of OEM and Tier 1 clients.We are recruiting a Quality Engineer to work at our Windsor, ON plant (6500 Cantelon Dr.).Job OverviewThis position will provide statistical information for quality improvement by identifying testing methods and samples, as well as, coming up with solutions to improve the products and quality process within the manufacturing plant.Key Responsibilities
  • Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes
Establishes statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error; determining levels of confidenceAnalyzes data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability analysis testsPrepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing dataEnsures the company is fully prepared for all IATF 16949 auditsLiaises with the customer on quality issues and ensures that all required team members are aware of any quality concernsEnsures training occurs on all processes and manages the training required for all team members/DepartmentsContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededAdheres to 5S philosophyPerform other assigned duties.Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.5-7 years’ experience in Quality in the Automotive Industry.Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends.Attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.Knowledge of quality control processes, procedures, and policies. * Ability to develop and implement quality standards and promote continuous improvement.
  • Understands PPAP, PFMEA, DFMEA and APQP
