- Lead the legal and commercial oversight of all agreements, ensuring suppliers strictly adhere to established terms, conditions, and quality standards.
- Manage cost controls by auditing invoices, monitoring pricing, and overseeing progress payments, milestones, holdbacks, and mobilization/demobilization costs.
- Develop strategic supplier relationships and monitor performance through regular reviews to ensure service levels meet internal customer needs.
- Direct the Field Work Instruction and Change Order processes, taking the lead on resolving commercial non-compliance and claims management.
- Act as a key partner to production and internal departments, providing guidance on best agreement practices, strategic planning, and scheduling.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the Supply Chain Team, providing mentorship, setting performance expectations, and identifying future training needs.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date contractual documentation and reports to ensure full transparency and compliance with regulatory policies.
- Collaborate with Global Supply Chain resources to share information while recommending innovative approaches to enhance existing contract methodologies.
- 7+ years of experience supporting contract negotiations and administration in the mining industry.
- Relevant post-secondary education required and SCMP/CIPS certification an asset
- Experience with ERP (Oracle) preferred
- Knowledge of contract management, logistics, transportation, and governmental regulations related to contracts
- Experience working within First Nation structured arrangement is an asset
- General knowledge of mining, mechanical, and chemical principles and terminology
- Excellent attention to detail, organization skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities
