
Senior Accountant

- Maintain the general ledger and other financial records
- Review and post journal entries
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and variance analyses
- Prepare financial statements
- Reconcile and file indirect tax returns
- Assist in interim and annual audit requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of accounting operations
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and management reporting
- Support and mentor junior staff members, review and provide feedback on their work
- Liaise with other internal departments and external stakeholders
- Assist with ad hoc issues or any new projects as they arise
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Well organized and able to keep accurate and timely records
- Ability to adapt quickly to a changing work environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and team skills
- Proficient with MS Office suite of products
- Advanced Excell skills
- Sage Intacct experience an asset
- CPA designated preferred or enrolled in CPA program
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years in an accounting/finance environment
- Prior experience in auditing or public accounting would be beneficial
- Canadian tax experience
- Financial reporting and month-end close process

- Hybrid work model, with 3 days a week required in-office.
- The compensation range for this position is $80,000 – 90,000 + bonus.
