- Safely and courteously assist passengers with boarding, securing mobility devices, and disembarking from the vehicle.
- Operate HandyDART vehicles following all traffic regulations, company safety protocols, and accessible transportation standards.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, making stops at designated locations to ensure passengers' timely arrival at their destinations.
- Provide a safe, respectful, and empathetic environment for passengers, addressing their specific needs and concerns.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any defects or maintenance issues to the maintenance team.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance and demeanour.

- You hold a Class 4 Unrestricted driver's License.
- You have a clean driving record.
- You must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing and criminal background checks.
- You have strong customer service skills and empathy for passengers with disabilities.
- You can operate accessible transportation equipment and secure mobility devices.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- You possess prior experience in passenger transportation, especially with individuals with disabilities (an asset).
- This is a casual, unionized position in Duncan, BC.
- Early, split & late shifts may be required.
- HandyDART Bus Drivers must be available for at least 5 days a week, (assigned two consecutive days off).
