Based in Saskatoon, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of industrial projects while working alongside experienced professionals committed to safety, quality, and technical excellence.Our team supports clients across diverse sectors including utilities, mining, oil & gas, and technology, working on systems ranging from 24V to 230kV. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, expand your industry knowledge, and build a long-term career in the electrical trade. Responsibilities:As a registered Apprentice Electrician, you will:
- Perform assigned electrical tasks under the supervision of a certified Journeyperson Electrician in accordance with SATCC regulations
- Assist in the installation, construction, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
- Work with low, medium, and high voltage systems appropriate to your level of training and competency
- Participate in structured, progressive skills development consistent with your apprenticeship level
- Accurately record hours worked and tasks performed toward apprenticeship requirements
- Support troubleshooting and testing of electrical and control systems
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
- Travel to project sites, including out-of-town work, as required
- Must be registered or eligible for registration as an Apprentice Electrician with the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC)
- Commitment to completing required technical training (in-school training) and on-the-job training hours
- Maintain a valid apprenticeship agreement throughout employment
- Registered or eligible to register as an Apprentice Electrician in Saskatchewan
- Previous industrial or commercial electrical experience is considered an asset
- Completion of relevant safety training (e.g., CSTS, WHMIS) is an asset
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Willingness and availability to travel for project-based work
- Commitment to safe work practices and continuous learning
- Compliance with all Shermco Canada Health, Safety, and Environmental policies is required
- Participation in required training and safety programs is mandatory
- This position may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing testing in accordance with Shermco Canada’s Alcohol and Drug Policy and applicable laws
