Duration: 11 Months (Contract)Overview"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist (IT) to support large-scale technology procurement initiatives. This role will focus on delivering end-to-end procurement services in a complex, fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance with public sector standards and achieving strategic business objectives.Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of procurement and contracting documentation to support transparent, fair, and efficient procurement processes.
- Manage full lifecycle procurements including RFPs, NRFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and other competitive bid processes.
- Develop procurement strategies, recommendations, and documentation aligned with organizational policies and objectives.
- Coordinate and package procurement deliverables for internal stakeholders, steering committees, and governance bodies.
- Oversee procurement activities across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, risks, and procurement strategies.
- Track and report procurement progress, including milestones, risks, and issue resolution.
- Support project planning activities, including scheduling, resource estimation, and work plan development.
- Provide guidance and direction to project teams on procurement priorities and execution.
- Lead contract negotiations and vendor management activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, including:
- Drafting, reviewing, and managing vendor contracts in complex environments
- Providing procurement advisory services to senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Working within Canadian public sector procurement frameworks and regulations
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience leading competitive procurement processes (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of trade agreements and procurement legislation such as CFTA, CETA, CUSMA, and NWPTA
- Professional certification such as SCMA, CPPB, CPPO, or equivalent
- Experience supporting technology modernization, digital transformation, or cloud-based initiatives
- Strong ability to evaluate cost models, pricing structures, and contract risks
- Experience procuring IT solutions such as:
- Software and hardware
- Cloud services
- Cybersecurity tools
- System integrations and digital platforms
