This includes educating, informing and managing relationships across the broad and diverse CDAIO team in addition to our partners in Global Technology, Data and AI and across CIBC. In this role, you will work closely with CDAIO’s senior leadership team. You will help coordinate the development and execution of business and communications strategy and business management activities to effectively tell the story of our business to our partners and stakeholders, and drive Enterprise adoption of CIBC’s Data and AI strategic initiatives and mandates. There will additionally be opportunities to develop and build business effectiveness and communications skills. This role is an excellent opportunity to work with leaders of all levels across Global Technology, Data and AI, and CIBC broadly.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.How you'll succeed
  • Strong Partner: You are a strong collaborator who has the ability to foster partnership between team members, share learning and lead through change. Help lead and deliver strategic communications plans for CDAIO, coordinating with senior leaders to refresh these strategies and develop communications that will help the team deliver on CIBC’s ambitious data and AI mandate.
  • Strategic Research: Proactively research what is happening in the industry, including trends in technology, AI, Data, the regulatory environment, and financial institutions.
  • Business Reporting, Communications and Storytelling: You deliver. You produce a variety of business documents that demonstrate a command of language, clarity of thought and orderliness of presentation. Create easy-to-understand presentation narratives from complex source materials. Apply strong ability to communicate effectively with senior executives, and team members across CIBC. You know how to tell compelling business stories and have unique ideas of how to make messages stick with your audience.
  • Planning & Execution: You provide exceptional planning and orchestration in a fast paced, ambiguous environment. You effectively manage multiple activities with varying complexity while under tight timeframes
  • Relationship Development and Management: You understand that getting things done takes collaboration across several teams, and you are someone who enjoys working with others and building relationships with people of all levels.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: You actively look for opportunities to drive our business forward. You continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work to deliver your best. Using knowledge, experience, relationships and collaboration to determine if services, processes or procedures may be modified to better suit the business, you make practical recommendations and help make it happen.
Who you are
  • You have 5-7 years of related work experience. with an understanding of channels, process, products technology & operations, back office, and business controls. You have well-developed project management and strategic business-planning skills with the ability to develop plans/tactics to support strategies & objectives.
