In this role you will have the opportunity to work on various projects from design phase through to construction. To be successful in this role it requires strong design and working drawing skills.We work with our clients around the world to create, support, and enhance smart, safe and sustainable places where people live, work, learn and thrive. Places impact on the quality of people’s lives. Whether new homes, shops, workplaces, schools and hospitals, manufacturing, research and development facilities, or data and distribution centers. People and communities thrive when the spaces in which they live, work, move and play are designed and managed in a way that best meets their needs.In Engineering, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening up public places that bring people together.Role accountabilities:
  • Work with clients and user groups to develop concepts during schematic design and design development meetings
  • Coordinate sub-consultants engineers and prepare technical working drawings
  • Work on multiple projects at the same time and lead small –intermediate size teams to complete each project
  • Organize and lead user group and client stakeholder meetings
  • Prepare meeting minutes and project schedules
QualificationsQualifications & Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Architecture and/or a recognized Institution by the AIBC
  • 3-4 years related experience in multi-family or multi-use projects
  • Must be registered with the AIBC, or eligible to be registered in the province of British Columbia
  • Substantial experience in design development and working drawing phases
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
  • Ability to understand how buildings are constructed and to create technical documents that succinctly describe the work to be done
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship-management skills
  • Proficient in Revit and Rhino
  • Experience with BIM and Parametric will be an asset.
