Title: Head of Product Development

Reports To: Managing Director
Compensation: CAD $125,000 – $135,000We are partnering with a growing and well-established organization in the consumer health space to identify a Head of Product Development to lead formulation, process development, and commercialization activities across a diverse product portfolio.This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for driving innovation, optimizing formulations, and leading a high-performing technical team. The portfolio includes regulated consumer health products, with a strong focus on solid dosage and liquid formats and cannabinoid-based formulations.The OpportunityThis role offers the opportunity to:

Lead end-to-end product development from concept through commercialization
Drive innovation and continuous improvement across formulation and process development
Influence product strategy, cost optimization, and technical direction
Lead scale-up and technical transfer into manufacturing
Build and develop a high-performing product development team
Partner cross-functionally with operations, quality, regulatory, procurement, and commercial teams

What You Bring

Comprehensive experience spanning product development, formulation, and process development within a GMP-regulated environment
Strong expertise in solid dosage formulation (e.g., tablets, powders, chewables, gums) and beverages
Experience working within consumer health categories such as dietary supplements, food, cannabinoids, or pharmaceuticals
Demonstrated success in scale-up, process optimization, and commercialization
Proven ability to lead and develop technical teams
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
