Compensation: CAD $125,000 – $135,000We are partnering with a growing and well-established organization in the consumer health space to identify a Head of Product Development to lead formulation, process development, and commercialization activities across a diverse product portfolio.This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for driving innovation, optimizing formulations, and leading a high-performing technical team. The portfolio includes regulated consumer health products, with a strong focus on solid dosage and liquid formats and cannabinoid-based formulations.The OpportunityThis role offers the opportunity to:
- Lead end-to-end product development from concept through commercialization
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across formulation and process development
- Influence product strategy, cost optimization, and technical direction
- Lead scale-up and technical transfer into manufacturing
- Build and develop a high-performing product development team
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, quality, regulatory, procurement, and commercial teams
- Comprehensive experience spanning product development, formulation, and process development within a GMP-regulated environment
- Strong expertise in solid dosage formulation (e.g., tablets, powders, chewables, gums) and beverages
- Experience working within consumer health categories such as dietary supplements, food, cannabinoids, or pharmaceuticals
- Demonstrated success in scale-up, process optimization, and commercialization
- Proven ability to lead and develop technical teams
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
