CNC Machine Operator & Programmer

- Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Prepare machines by loading raw materials and setting up tools and fixtures
- Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cutting of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
- Operate CNC equipment to complete drilling, milling, and turning operations
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality
- Inspect and verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Follow all safety and quality procedures
- Support general production activities as required
- Clean and maintain workspace
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of CNC machining experience (lathe & milling)
- Experience in Finishing and Fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- CNC Programming is an asset
- Skilled with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Strong mechanical aptitude, hand-eye co-ordination & manual dexterity
- Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Custom machine shop with exposure to noise, vibration, and dust
- Standing for extended periods and repetitive tasks
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
