If you do, this would be a great position for you – so send in your application!Your Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in all phases of project development: schematic design to contract administration and close-out.Prepare client presentation materials, design development documentation, site analysis, construction documentation, contract administration, and submissions on a wide variety of projects under guidance from senior landscape architects.Identify and solve technical issues.Conduct and participate in site meetings and conduct site reviews and inspections and coordinate work with construction crews, clients, consultants, sub-consultants, and subcontractors.Coordinate plans and specifications with project consultants.Coordinate internally with design team and construction staff.Assist landscape architects and other designers with project management and contract administration.Assist in the preparation of proposals and other marketing materials.Coordinate and schedule multiple field construction milestones and team mates to achieve results.Your Capabilities and CredentialsExcellence in AutoCAD/ Civil3D and LandFX 2018 or higher, Bluebeam, Sketch-Up, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other graphics software.Experience with Revit/ BIM360 is an asset.Excellent oral, written and graphic communication skills.Forward thinker with ability to seek out and adapt to innovative technologies and processes.Excellent file management and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively on a team within a collaborative environment and multi-task effectively.Experience in preparing contract documents, specifications and working drawings.Construction/Field experience with the ability to collaborate with clients and contractors.Valid Driver’s License with the ability to travel to and from siteMembership or ability to become a member with the AALA (Alberta Association of Landscape Architects) and/or CSLA (Canadian Society of Landscape Architects) is an asset but not required.Education and ExperienceCollege diploma in Landscape Architectural Technology / University degree in design related field or equivalent work experience.5+ years of a mixture of office and field experience and project management experience5+ years Construction knowledge and contract administration experienceLocal knowledge of plant material and City of Edmonton and other standards.We offer a flexible work environment – with a mix of deskwork and fieldwork.
