The Red Hat Telco sales organization seeks an Associate Principal Solution Architect to lead our Telco solution architects account with a track record of successfully delivering business results.In this role, the candidate will primarily drive incremental revenue through technical and architectural alignment for various Telco, infrastructure, and services for the customer. Candidates must be highly technical to succeed in this customer-facing position, with significant knowledge and experience in deploying Cloud and Virtualization technologies and Red Hat products, and capable of architecting a full stack of end-to-end solutions, including partner products.Strong leadership, technical, and executive engagement skills are a must to drive alignment across a wide range of Red Hat products and ecosystem stakeholders while representing Red Hat’s global Industry vertical business, including the Telecom sector, in support of Red Hat Sales, partners, and customer business needs.To effectively perform these responsibilities, experience in technical selling, competitive outlook and understanding of the sales process is required. A deep technical understanding of IT, hyperscalers, network architectures, AI, Cable, Edge and 5G core and RAN deployment models is required.This position is open to candidates located in Calgary, Canada.What You Will Do:Evangelize the value of Red Hat Solutions. Work with the Account Executive and collaborate with the extended team to focus on the best manner to address your customer needsDefine, document, present, and demonstrate how the Red Hat product portfolio can enable next-generation IT and network architectures for telecommunications providers in the Cable, 5G, NFV IoT space.Develop cross-industry solutions and architectures with Red Hat and partner products to apply Red Hat technologies and products to build synergy across Industry verticals in IoT, Telecom Managed services, and Cloud and Virtualization technologies for Edge solution architecture and deliveryWork with the ecosystem to position Red Hat as a key strategic vendor for telecommunications and NFV infrastructures, e.g. ISVS, NEPs, telecommunications, cloud providers, integrators, and hardware vendorsDeliver expert-level presentations and demonstrations for Red Hat products and solutions in the context of Telco IT operations teams and networksLead the technical responses to RFx processesDesign value-driven architectures and present their application and return on investment (ROI)Contribute to growing and developing the business of the account in all aspects of the relationship, including on the telco network and the IT side, as well as developing the business partnership in placeDemonstrate and act as a role model of great leadership skills in an open organization, fostering a culture of success and inclusivenessPosition Red Hat at all levels within the customer, including C-level executivesActively contribute to account plans and strategy sessions. Develop technical account plans.Maintain and develop new relationships within the assigned accountExhibit a high level of initiative with the ability to work independently, while maintaining the team role and being an exceptional team playerKnowledge-sharing, and sharing of lessons learned where applicableWhat You Will Bring:An advanced Computer Science and/or Engineering degree with specialties in cloud, networking/communications, and extensive engagement in open-source communities and industry forums is preferred.Extensive Telco industry knowledge and market insights, with a good understanding of current, new, and future technologies and business directionsSolid technical skills in IT technologies used in telcos, such as Virtualization, Cloud, Container Platforms, and MicroservicesUnderstanding of the existing and new technologies used by the telecommunications industries is required, such as Cable, 5G, RAN, IoT, SDN, NFVExcellent presentation skills to both business and technical audiencesAbility to learn new concepts and new technology quicklyReliable, committed, and organized, with the ability to handle change easilyAbility to demonstrate creativity and innovative thinkingMotivated and result-oriented with the ability to perform within a fast-paced environmentAbout Red Hatis the world’s leading provider of enterprise software solutions, using a community-powered approach to deliver high-performing Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.
