The group is concerned with delivering the products and services as efficiently as possible to maximize profit. The Operations team oversees people, equipment, technology, information and all other required resources in the delivery products and services. It is also responsible for driving operational excellence and supporting key business objectives while fostering a culture of respect, trust and integrity.Position ResponsibilitiesMaintain Insurance Related Documents (40%)
  • Update insurance related information in Home Trust Company's database by going through information sent by clients, insurance companies and internal partners
  • File insurance cancellation notification received and follow-up with client and/or broker to ensure proper insurance coverage is maintained
  • Identify mortgage loans that are not covered by an adequate home insurance policy and arrange blanket
  • Insurance coverage for these loans to make sure Home Trust Company's interests are protected at all time
Client Relationships (20%)
  • Send written correspondence to clients to follow-up on status of their home insurance policy
  • Receive phone calls from clients and provide information related to correspondences that were sent and/or gather information from clients related to the status of their insurance policy
  • Deal with escalated calls and e-mails from clients and internal business partners prior to referring to management
Reporting (15%)
  • Manage the update of multiple reports outlining loans that do not have adequate insurance coverage or that were placed on our umbrella policy by reviewing information received from internal business partners, insurance companies and clients
Risk Management/ Compliance (15%)
  • Support the Company's Operational Risk Management by monitoring account activity and ensuring that recorded transactions do not present a risk to the company
  • Report to management any activity that may present an adverse risk to the company
Claim Management (10%)
  • Gather and review information provided by clients, insurance adjustors and contractors related to home insurance claims from the day Home Trust Company is made aware of property damage to day when claim is resolved
  • Assist mortgage servicing as necessary
Formal Education
  • Secondary School Graduation Diploma required
  • Post secondary degree or diploma preferred in Business or equivalent
Related Experience
  • 2 years in mortgage administration or insurance claims
