We are proud of our collaborative, supportive culture that enables success at every level and equips us to help our clients achieve their financial goals.As an integral member of a successful and growing private-client discretionary wealth management team, your role as a Associate Wealth Advisor and Financial Planner is to deliver high value customized advice and wealth management strategies to High Net-Worth (HNW) clients. As a valued partner, you will also assist with business development, opportunity spotting and revenue generation.Business Delivery & Operational Management
  • Work with our team and other experts in our Financial Planning and Estate Planning group to prepare comprehensive plans to meet client’s specific needs in the areas of financial, investment, retirement and risk management.
  • Work with clients and provide expert knowledge around issues affecting clients, such as: holding companies, employee stock options, individual pension plans, retirement compensation agreements, gift and charitable planning, etc.
  • Deliver presentations to clients, COIs, prospects, and educate business owners about wealth management options/strategies, or recent developments (budget changes, taxes, etc.)
  • Promote and support a work environment that inspires innovation, creativity, collaboration and diversity
  • Maximize outcomes by actively contributing to the client’s peace of mind and the team’s business development pursuits
  • Develop strong internal and external networks and referral sources.
Client & Relationship Management
  • Develop strong internal and external networks and referral sources (ie, Bank professionals, Accountants, Lawyers, etc.)
  • Ability to foster and strengthen existing high/ultra-high net worth client relationships is critical
  • Help clients and their professional accountants for year-end tax filing prep.
  • Ensuring that each and every client is benefiting from tax minimizing options available to them (Inc. RRSPs, TFSA, IPPs, RCAs Spousal loans, Trusts and insurance strategies
  • Maintaining up to date records of clients’ net-worth and cash flow statements
  • Reviewing Tax returns (T1, T3 etc.) to look for tax planning opportunities and working with their professional accountants and lawyers for implementation of the suitable options
  • Working with clients to achieve their charitable and legacy planning goals
  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact
Must-have
  • CPA designation
  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience interacting with High-Net-Worth clients.
Nice-to-have
  • In-depth tax course
  • A background in one of the following areas would be considered an asset:
  • Tax manager with a reputable accounting firm
  • Similar role with another investment dealer
  • Financial Planner
  • CFP Designation
  • Other Finance Designations
  • Life Insurance Designations
