- Quickly troubleshoot, diagnose and repair problems, production equipment or the facilities and grounds.
- Communicate and work in a teamwork environment with other mechanics and electrician.
- Work on projects as assigned by the Maintenance and Engineering departments.
- Accurately report on all work performed parts and tools used as well as work required for all plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLC, relay ladder controls, level controls, capacitive and inductive sensors, photo electronics and AC/DC variable drives.
- Must work strictly in compliance with all Health & Safety, HACCP, and BRC programs and follow all relevant GMP requirements.
- 3- 5 years of experience as a licensed electrician
- 3- 5 years of experience working with building and production equipment controls and systems
- Must have an Industrial electrician (442A) or C&M Electrician (309 A) License.
- Refrigeration “B” license is an asset
- PLC, automation and machine controls experience is essential
- Strong experience in maintaining, repairing, installing and overhauling equipment typically found in a food processing facility
- Experience in a computerized environment, PLC and automated equipment as well as knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic and power transmissions system
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
