This opportunity is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with experience in accounts payable, banking, cash handling, and clerical support, who are comfortable providing responsive service to staff, vendors, and programme managers.As an Accounting Clerk, you will provide accurate and timely clerical and administrative support to the Finance Department, ensuring smooth operations and organized financial records while assisting with payroll, banking, and month-end processes.Salary: $22.57 - $24.87/hour, based on experienceLocation: Gold River, B.C. - Onsite (vehicle required)Schedule: Monday to Thursday, every other Friday off; occasional overtimeContract: Full-time | PermanentVacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancyResponsibilities:Process and code vendor invoices; prepare cheque/EFT payments; maintain vendor recordsReconcile vendor statements and respond to inquiriesProcess credit card transactions and staff expense claimsAssist with payroll by collecting/validating timesheets and maintaining recordsPrepare deposits, deliver to the bank, manage petty cash, and post transactionsAssist with bank reconciliations and basic accounts receivable tasksSupport month-end close through data entry, reconciliations, and schedule preparationMaintain organised financial records (electronic and paper)Support membership database and routine member correspondence (as assigned)Provide general administrative support to the Finance teamRequirements:Certificate/diploma in accounting, bookkeeping, business administration, or equivalent experience1 to 3 years' experience in accounts payable or finance administrationStrong Microsoft Office skills (Excel) and ability to learn accounting/payroll software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Payworks)Excellent accuracy, organization, and time managementProfessional discretion with confidential information; strong customer service mindsetValid Class 5 driver's licence (for banking runs)Experience in Indigenous or public sector environments is an assetMust be legally authorized to work and reside in CanadaThis position interests you?
