- Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through relationships, telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication
- Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers
- Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings
- Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance
- Finalize all bookings/contracts in a timely manner servicing guests through the process
- As required by ownership or the General Manager, participate in daily RevMax call, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings
- Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers
- Participate as team player with all departments
- Assist with reports and/or competition data collection
- Actively pursue new clients through creative/innovative sales techniques
- Drive product quality and a unique guest experience at every opportunity
- Speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the Workplace – English and French
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Perform in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to establish and master goals
- Excellent computer skills (including, but not limited to, Accounting Programs, Microsoft Office and Delphi)
- Math skills, as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required
