- Manage and supervise a team of operations staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Plan, organize, and direct daily operational activities to ensure timely and accurate execution of tasks.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and policies to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, escalating complex problems to higher management when necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize cross-functional processes and achieve overall business objectives.
- Conduct regular team meetings, providing clear communication, feedback, and motivation.
- Prepare and present operational reports to management, outlining performance, challenges, and recommendations.
- Manage resource allocation, including staffing levels, equipment, and materials, to meet operational demands.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong understanding of operational processes, supply chain principles, and logistics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Proficiency in using operational management software and tools (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered a strong asset, especially for roles within Quebec or with national scope.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
