Compensation: Base salary: $125,000 + Bonus = $140,000, Full Benefits after 90 Days. Company Vehicle Included. 20 PTO. Retention bonus after 2 years of service.
Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) with travel to customers and Authorized Service Partners
Direct Reports: 4 Regional Technical Manager (1 Western Canada, 1 Central Ontario, 1 Key Accounts, 1 Eastern Canada + 4 Service Administrators for each region. 8 total direct reports).The Service Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the after-sales service for our client. This includes working as part of the management team, developing and implementing company strategies while continually seeking to develop the most beneficial solutions for the customer base in Canada. The Service director is responsible for managing a team of Regional Technical Manager,s, overseeing the partner network and other staff relationships. Implementing a parts supply system, monitoring the warranty program and creating/using reporting as performance tool. The ultimate goal of the Srevice Director is to ensure the Service Process fully supports and is fully in-line with the sales engine and customer care focus of the company.Responsibilities
- · Translate and implement successful processes through our companys strategy
- · Develop our after-sales service operation to the highest customer satisfaction and performance
- · Maintain and Monitor service quality and customer satisfaction according to RATIONAL standards.
- · Lead the team of Service Managers in Canada to the highest quality of representation
- · While coordinating with the team, the Service Director will manage and develop the partner network to the customers' expectations through a higher customer satisfaction rate, raising the first time fix rates, maintaining reasonable pricing and continuing to tran the technical staff
- · Responsible for developing the Canadian parts supply system to reflect high availability and low stocks with reasonable pricing
- · Implement and enhance our service product portfolio
- · Manage and control existing maintenance contracts with our Key Accounts
- · Enhance the overall performance of the KPI System as an effective measuring tool
- · Relationship management of Key Account Stakeholders
- · Support Global Projects as requested by Head Quarters in Germany
- · Implement and Develop Key Account After Sales strategy for Product Maintenance program
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- · The ideal service director candidate has a Technical Degree and an accomplished background throughout the technical equipment industry, preferably in kitchen equipment.
- · Having extensive experience in administering a team of managers and a network of national service partners on a professional level is essential.
- · An organizational development background is beneficial when applying for this position
- · Reporting to the MD of Rational Canada and in dotted line to Germany Technical Services, it is imperative that the candidate fully understand the commitment level of this position.
- · Minimum of 5+ years of experience with technical food service operations (Preferred)
- · Associate or Bachelor technical degree or equivalent work experience or equivalent experience desired.
- · Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Applicable Electrical and/or Gas Licenses certifications preferred.
- · Strong Financial Acumen and Strong excel skills
- · Experience in managing a Profit and Loss (P&L)
- · Individual must have a proactive attitude as a leader
- · Will need to identify areas of improvement and develop initiatives accordingly
- · Must be highly self-motivated
- · Individual is focused on solutions and have a strong sense of understanding priorities
- · Have the capacity to integrate skills within the department
- · Be qualified to identify areas of improvement and develop initiatives accordingly
- Communication Skills
- · Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, designer kitchen drawings, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
- · Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- · Ability to effectively communicate, present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, partners and general public professionally
- · Ability to communicate with all levels within the corporation
- · Second language, preferably German is a plus but not required.
