About the Opportunity
  • Verifies all transactions done by the Administrators within the pay period to ensure accuracy
  • Completes special payments such as retroactive pay, incentive payments and special premiums, including calculation of benefit when necessary
  • ROE issuing and Service Canada Support
  • Reviews and actions Statutory Holiday Disqualifications (stat DQs) for all sites; follows up with sites as required to ensure timely and accurate completion
  • Plays integral role in implementation of new processes or improvements to existing processes, including documentation of processes or process changes
  • Provides others with professional, clear, concise, accurate, and timely information. Communicates with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensures the effective and timely payroll processing for the assigned payroll group.
  • Other duties as required.
About YouIn addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
  • Diploma or degree in related field of study
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation or working towards designation through Canadian Payroll Association
  • 1-3 years of administrative experience in a related field (payroll, benefits, human resources, or finance)
  • Experience working with multiple unions or complex payroll environment considered an asset
