- Actively contribute to the “TEAM” by working diligently to correct and prevent any issues where there is a safety or food safety risk or where there is the potential to limit OEE.
- Responsible for identifying, detecting and documenting all potential repair problems on the above-mentioned equipment during the course of your normal duties.
- Responsible for reporting any HACCP Food Safety Risk’s or identified problems.
- Attend Team meetings as required
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
- Weld, repair, and fabricate equipment or machinery.
- Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
- Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
- Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
- Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical principles.
- Time Management -- Managing one's own time and the time of others.
- Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- Must work closely with production and maintenance supervision as a team player to keep line running with minimum downtime.
- Responsible for housekeeping in shop and any work areas.
- Verbally communicate identified Emergency/Urgent repair problems effectively.
- Must comply with GMP’s, Safety, and HACCP Best Operating Procedures.
- Must be able and willing to promote continuous improvement of workplace safety.
- Maintains Safety standards of equipment and work area according to established procedures and as instructed by the manager.
- Other duties as required by the needs of the business.
- Must be a fully Licensed Industrial Millwright with experience in manufacturing and/or process industries.
- Be able to read and understand blueprints, P&ID’s, equipment manuals and other relevant material.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
- Controlling operations of equipment or systems
- Understand the fundamentals of a CMMS (SAP) and be able to utilize it for daily work.
- Developing respectful constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
- The ability to understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and written sentences.
- The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.
- Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
