- Handle a variety of litigation matters, including shareholder disputes, contractual disagreements, and real estate-related cases.
- Provide legal representation in construction-related litigation, asset recovery, and debt collection matters.
- Manage cases involving occupiers' liability claims, negligence, and insurance coverage opinions.
- Develop and implement effective advocacy strategies to achieve favourable outcomes for clients.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents with precision and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive case preparation and strategic decision-making.
- Offer expert advice to clients while maintaining a high standard of client service.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation, and arbitration as required.
- Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Contribute to team discussions and share knowledge to enhance overall team performance.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial litigation.
- Strong knowledge of litigation processes and applicable laws.
- Proven ability to handle complex legal cases independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in legal research and drafting court documentation.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality client service and maintaining confidentiality.
- Licensed to practice law in Ontario and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
