Job Description:A prominent and well-established law firm is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Attorney/Lawyer to join its team in Mississauga, ON. This role provides an opportunity to work on a diverse mix of files, deliver exceptional client service, and develop professionally in a supportive and collaborative environment.Responsibilities:
  • Handle a variety of litigation matters, including shareholder disputes, contractual disagreements, and real estate-related cases.
  • Provide legal representation in construction-related litigation, asset recovery, and debt collection matters.
  • Manage cases involving occupiers' liability claims, negligence, and insurance coverage opinions.
  • Develop and implement effective advocacy strategies to achieve favourable outcomes for clients.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents with precision and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive case preparation and strategic decision-making.
  • Offer expert advice to clients while maintaining a high standard of client service.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation, and arbitration as required.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Contribute to team discussions and share knowledge to enhance overall team performance.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation processes and applicable laws.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal cases independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting court documentation.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality client service and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Licensed to practice law in Ontario and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
