We are determined to leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.Our Calgary office is seeking a Material Testing Technician, the successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Materials Team, and will have the opportunity to work on various exciting projects alongside senior engineers/technicians in the field.Does this sound like the right fit for you? Learn more about the role !Your main responsibilities

Field testing of civil construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt
Learn about construction equipment, sequencing, and drawings
Compaction testing of soils, aggregates and asphalt
Concrete testing; casting cylinders and performing slump and air measurements
Asphalt testing; Marshall analysis, pavement coring, and onsite sampling
Preparing daily test summary report
Technicians will be provided with a company truck
Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules.

What makes you unique

A Degree or a Diploma in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology is an asset;
Construction experience would be considered an asset;
Valid drivers license, current drivers abstract, and insurance claims experience letter will be required;
Technicians will be provided with a company truck;
Quick learner with a good attitude;
CSA approved laced steel-toed boots
Alcohol and drug testing may be required upon arrival
Must be able to work outside of normal working hours and any overtime assigned.
