As a Claims Examiner you will report to the Manager of Insurance.ResponsibilitiesClaims Examiner for specialty line of insuranceCreation and maintenance of all new claim filesDecisions on approval of claims – working directly with the Manager of InsuranceProvide best-in-class customer service on very sensitive insurance claimsExplanation of claims process to clientsCorrespondence with the insured clients’ employers, physicians and hospitals if necessaryCommunication with all of TGI’s partners and credit card companies with respect to payments on client accountsWork with Staff Accountant on monthly and yearly reportingProvide a front-line quality customer serviceMeet targeted business objectivesQualificationsExcellent data entry and keyboarding skillsUtmost discretion with confidential customer informationProfessional phone etiquette and empathy for sensitive circumstancesStrong attention to detailSuperior organizational skillsStrong analytical and decision making skillsStrong desire to take ownership and accountability of task completionIntermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and AccessAbility to work effectively with and without supervisionBasic accounting skills would be an assetHigh School or Equivalent is required1 to 2 years in a claims processing role would be an assetPost-secondary or other education related specifically to insurance industry would be an assetWhy Trans Global?
