
Junior Orbit Dynamics and Mission Analysis Engineer

- Perform orbit determination, prediction, and propagation using STK and custom analysis tools.
- Design and optimize satellite trajectories and orbital maneuvers (station-keeping, phasing, disposal).
- Analyze mission requirements and develop corresponding orbital concepts and constellation designs.
- Conduct mission-specific analyses, including coverage, communications access, lighting conditions, trade space studies and conjunction assessments using STK.
- Develop and utilize scripts and software tools in Python, and/or C# to automate analyses, process data, and enhance simulation capabilities interfacing with MATLAB.
- Support mission planning, launch window analysis, and early operations phase activities.
- Document analysis results, generate reports, and present findings to internal teams and potentially external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, GNC engineers, software developers, and other relevant teams.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of mission analysis tools and methodologies via automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional, post-graduation experience focused on orbit dynamics, astrodynamics, and/or space mission analysis.
- Demonstrated proficiency using AGI Systems Tool Kit (STK) for orbital simulation and analysis (e.g., Astrogator, Coverage, Comm modules).
- Solid programming/scripting skills with demonstrated experience in Python and MATLAB.
- Experience with C# programming language or similar.
- Strong theoretical foundation in orbital mechanics, celestial mechanics, and astrodynamics principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. French language is considered favorably.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Willingness to reallocate to Montreal is a bonus.
- Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field.
- Experience with specific STK modules beyond the basics (e.g., TLE propagation, EOIR).
- Experience with other mission analysis or simulation tools (e.g., GMAT, FreeFlyer, Orekit).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Experience with MBSE.
- Experience with MATLAB Simulink, Aerospace Toolbox, Requirement Toolbox and Optimization Toolbox.
- Experience in satellite operations.
- Experience with database management related to orbital data.
