  • Lead Hand Maintenance add $2.00 to base rate.
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Electrician (309A) add $1.00 to base rate when Licensed Tradesperson holds both tickets (as per Collective Bargaining Agreement UFCW Local 1006A).
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning add $1.00 to base rate.
  • Refrigeration B and $1.00 to base rate.
  • Refrigeration Operator Class "A" Certification add $1.00 to base rate.
  • Gas Fitter add $1.00 to base rate for gas fitter license during all hours of work to a maximum of three (3) employees.
Position Summary
  • The Maintenance Lead Hand plays a pivotal role in the Production & Operations division. This position is responsible for monitoring and maintaining all mechanical equipment and systems within the plant. The Maintenance Lead Hand also conducts daily pre-operational inspections and performs necessary repairs.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Accountable for the preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment as per work order requests, equipment stoppages or breakdowns.
  • Accountable to assign tasks to employees, provide adequate training to perform tasks, and ensure all tasks are completed to specifications.
  • Accountable to adhere to and utilize Company policies and procedures and HACCP regulations.
  • Accountable to ensure a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors.
Qualification:
  • Minimum two years’ experience performing repairs in a manufacturing environment. Mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems knowledge, and an ability to use power and
manual tools. Basic computer knowledge and math skills.
