- Responsible for the planning and execution of product line strategy in market. Including new product introductions, portfolio optimisation, and pricing ensuring alignment with global imperatives and growth aspirations.
- Ensures the strategic plan is translated to their Team for the identification of executable actions that deliver to the strategy, resulting in increased product market share and profitable growth.
- Ensures disciplined and effective execution of those plans, including identified priority changes and transformation activity.
- Promotes personal responsibility for tracking and reporting on the progress of the strategic plan’s implementation, through the use of People + Goal processes and tools, to drive delivery to plan.
- Provides quality, hands on leadership, creating a thoughtful vision of what success looks like to engage the people to deliver the right work that will strengthen FP’s performance.
- Ensures appropriate stakeholder management approaches are taken with the product line to ensure highly effective cross-functional collaboration with global supporting functions.
- Provides regular reporting updates on product line performance to the Executive Management and as well as across the local and global Market Group.
- Deeply understands the product lines and their price positioning in market, including hard and soft factors that influence these things.
- Keeps current on changes and best practice that influence Product Line’s strategic plans.
- Manages and cultivates cross-business execution of product introductions into the market to leverage growth opportunities.
- Drives portfolio optimisation ensuring correct positioning and mix of high performing products, and rationalising of low performing products, aligned to F&P’s strategic positioning and goals.
- Identifies and establishes new market opportunities for product introductions, cultivating a momentum of enthusiasm and pull for F&P’s brand, vision and products.
- Ensures a seamless, brand aligned representation of F&P’s brand value proposition is applied across all customer touch points of the product line.
- Ensures all activities of the product line are performed in compliance with state, and federal regulations and laws governing business.
- Drives Operational Excellence through a weekly cadence of operational and People + Goal forums, process and tools, adhering to the key principles of: clear accountability, forward focus, local leadership, global participation and efficiency.
- Effective, visible leadership that influences a culture of energy and enthusiasm. Role models F&P’s behaviours and demonstrates direct knowledge of functions within the product team and their important role they play in connecting to market strategy.
- Oversees and ensures effective financial management of the product lines (planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting and audit) with a significant focus on driving revenue and margin growth and increased profitability.
- Partners with the Financial Manager in preparation and submission of annual operational budgets, managing effectively within this budget, and reporting accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
- Leverages cross-functional strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or to address organisational challenges that either hinder or are needed to progress the performance and customer experience of the product line.
- Ensures product line’s adherence to maintaining global alignment of F&P’s Market organisational design by working with F&P’s central team when identifying a need for new roles.
- Coaches, develops, and retains high-performing leaders with an emphasis on developing capability in strategic areas of product.
- Ensures deep understanding of F&P’s brand aspiration, vision and strategic direction.
- Takes responsibility for establishing and aligning a culture which demonstrates F&P’s brand values and step up behaviours
- Leads recruitment, and development of leadership roles, ensuring the acquisition of talent has the critical capabilities needed to deliver to F&P’s growth plans.
- Sustains all people practises that underpin a high performing team.
- Partners with, and supports the development and implementation of leadership training programs with a focus on increasing leadership capability across the Market Group.
- Global multi-national leadership including strategy creation and execution of a Product Line.
- Proven leadership, with a track record, of successfully transforming and growing a Product Line that increased market share and profitability growth.
- Business leadership across functional areas of a global consumer organisation including budget and fiscal management experience
- Proven experience as a senior operational leader – encompassing sales, warehousing, and customer service business
- Strong financial understanding and analytical skills.Ability to develop and apply the best commercial and financial solution for the right situation and environment.
- Ability to develop and implement effective customer relationship management strategies.
- Expert understanding of the levers required to deliver profitable growth of the product line and deliver a world-class end to end customer experience.
- University undergraduate degree. Additional MBA or business-related qualification desired but not essential.
