May also be required to perform the duties of a trade apprentice.Level of Responsibility: Structured work processes. Some analysis is required before choosing independently from known processes.Tasks and responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Perform inspection and preventive maintenance on air compressors
  • Guide the work of the trade apprentice.
  • Prepare inventory and material requisitions.
  • Set and record daily temperatures of all environmental systems using the data processing terminal.
  • Perform tests on HVAC systems and adjust chemical balance (water treatment)
  • Perform checks and preventive maintenance on HVAC, fire protection, water and gas systems, water and gas supply systems, and plumbing systems.
  • Drawing up local ventilation plans.
  • Assist subcontractors in their field of expertise.
  • Assist the first millwright and replace him during his absences.
  • Remove snow from ventilation equipment on the roof.
  • Provide service to internal customers.
  • All other related tasks.
Minimum qualifications required:
  • Reading mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to retrieve and enter data using a computer system.
  • Knowledge and use of preventive maintenance software.
  • Good knowledge of French.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Education: Vocational diploma in mechanics or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Refrigeration systems licence, class B and Heating systems licence, class 4.
  • Experience: Three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Language skills: Basic knowledge of English is an asset.
