Job Description:Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to support the Finance team for a 4 month contract in the Greater Victoria area.Reporting to the CFO & Controller your responsibilities will include:

Provide oversight of accounting staff and day-to-day accounting

Undertake month-end close and assist in the preparation of financial statements.

Clean up various accounting matters including GL account reconciliations

Document current business processes and assist with the implementation of improvements

Assist with the implementation of new ERP system

Other ad hoc assignments

Requirements:To be considered for this opportunity, you are a designated CPA with 5+ years experience where it's a combination of public practice and progressive accounting experience in industryIn addition, the following skills and experience are desired:

Full cycle accounting experience with GL account reconciliation, month-end close and financial statement preparation experience

Experience with documentation of business processes.

Strong communication skills

Ability to work very independently.

Detail-oriented and accountable
