- Design and deliver Power BI reporting and dashboards that provide clear, executive-ready insights and enable informed decision-making across the organization;
- Ensure data integrity through governance, validation, and quality assurance, delivering accurate, high-performing, and user-friendly reports with clear definitions and consistent metrics.
- Analyze safety data (including incidents, exposures, high-energy hazards, SIF/pSIF, and driver/telematics) to identify trends, risks, and actionable insights that inform decision-making and drive prevention and improvement;
- Support and manage safety classification frameworks (i.e., SCL model), ensuring consistency in event categorization and accurate reporting;
- Develop and advance leading and lagging indicators, ensuring metrics drive meaningful safety improvement;
- Support internal and external benchmarking to evaluate performance and inform strategy;
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and leverage technology (e.g., automation, AI) to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and improve data collection and reporting;
- Support and mentor team members in translating data into meaningful insights and applying reporting best practices;
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organization;
- Contribute to a team environment that values equity, inclusion, and diversity; and
- Perform other related duties as required.
- A diploma or degree, or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred;
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional Certification (CRSP) or Canadian Registered Safety Technician Certification (CRST) or actively working towards, is preferred;
- 5+ years’ experience in a reporting and analytics capacity, preferably in a Safety function within a midstream company or an oil and gas producer;
- Knowledge of energy-based safety and Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles, including their application in safety reporting is considered an asset;
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for varied audiences;
- Demonstrated experience with Power BI, including report development, and proficiency in SQL, for data exploration, validation, and analysis;
- Experience working with enterprise data platforms (i.e., Azure Databricks) is preferred;
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (including Copilot, PowerBI, Power Apps, and automation tools) and SAP at an intermediate to advanced level;
- Experience administering cloud-based incident management, audit or inspection systems (i.e., Intelex, Enablon) is considered an asset;
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, work independently, and deliver high quality outputs with attention to detail;
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders; and
- Flexible, adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset.
