
Fuel Channel Replacement Tooling Lead

- Lead the engineering lifecycle of fuel channel installation tools, including concept development, detailed design, procurement, FAT/DVT testing, and field deployment.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure tooling interfaces with reactor components such as end fittings, bellows, liners, and feeders.
- Manage tool proving activities, including mock-up trials and clearance checks for feeder and fuel channel components.
- Support the development and review of engineering plans, OJT documentation, and risk assessments.
- Provide technical oversight during installation activities, including annulus spacer insertion, bellows compression, and pressure tube rolled joints.
- Interface with Bruce Power and other stakeholders to incorporate OPEX and feedback into tooling design and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with ASME, CSA, and internal nuclear quality standards for all tooling systems.

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Systems Engineering.
- P.Eng. designation in Ontario (or eligibility).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in nuclear tooling design or reactor component replacement.
- Experience with mock-up testing, hoisting logistics, and tooling integration in high-radiation environments.
- Experience with proposal development and RFP responses for nuclear tooling projects.
- Strong understanding of CANDU reactor systems, especially fuel channel and feeder assemblies.
- Familiarity with CSA N299, and related nuclear codes and standards.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks is an asset.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
