The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, performance, and security of our network infrastructure. This role involves monitoring network activity, troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and supporting network-related projects.Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues
  • Configure and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Perform regular network maintenance and upgrades, including patches and security configurations
  • Collaborate with IT teams to support infrastructure projects and ensure network requirements are met
  • Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures
  • Conduct network capacity planning and performance tuning
  • Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining appropriate controls and monitoring tools
  • Respond to and resolve network outages, service degradations, and security incidents
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff
  • Participating in an On-Call schedule
  • Participate in After Hours security patching and remediation as necessary
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in network administration or analysis
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Experience with enterprise class network equipment
  • Familiarity with enterprise class network monitoring tools
  • Understanding of firewalls, VPNs, and other security technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with cloud networking
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management tools
