Duration: 7 Months (with possible extension up to 24 months)Note: Candidates interested to apply for this role must be eligible to apply for Security Clearances.Role SummaryA public sector organization is undertaking a large-scale digital transformation initiative to enhance service delivery and improve user experiences for citizens. As part of this effort, a Data Analyst is required to support service innovation, program reviews, and digital transformation projects.The Data Analyst will work within cross-functional teams using agile methodologies and human-centered design approaches to analyze current services, identify opportunities, and deliver data-driven solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesData Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large datasets across on-premise (e.g., SSIS) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and availability for business and analytical use.
- Optimize and enhance ETL processes and data workflows.
- Implement data governance, security, and best practices.
- Manage and support data storage solutions such as data lakes and data warehouses.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define and deliver data solutions.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for data processing and integration.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Conduct statistical analysis and support data-driven decision-making.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Extract and manipulate data using SQL and other query languages.
- Develop performance metrics, service dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
- Support agile teams by delivering insights iteratively and enhancing analytics capabilities.
- Contribute to improving service delivery through data modeling and strategy development.
- Candidates may be required to obtain enhanced security clearance prior to onboarding.
- Additional higher-level clearances (e.g., federal-level) may be required during the assignment.
- Final selection is subject to successful clearance approval.
- Strong experience in both data engineering and data analytics.
- Proven ability to work with large, complex, and disparate datasets.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or similar.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments and cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with public sector or large enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
