As a result, Westfield has grown to be the number one portable grain auger manufacturer in North America.The OpportunityOur Manufacturing Department is seeking a highly motivated Instrumentation Technologist who is looking for a hands-on, fast-paced job with tons of room to grow. The position will be responsible for designing and integrating machinery and other production aides in our 200,000 ft2 vertically integrated facility that includes lasers, brakes, manual and robotic welding, powder coat painting, assembly, and shipping departments. This will include a mix of design activities, technical support, machine monitoring, analysis, and communications. Every day will offer something new. Plus, there is no rush hour traffic or paying for parking downtown, as our office is located in Rosenort, a quiet rural community only 25 minutes south of the city.Responsibilities
  • Automating processes by designing, testing, and implementing custom machinery.
  • Improving existing machinery by updating control logic or adding functionality.
  • Providing technical support on machinery and robotics to operators and electricians.
  • Developing, monitoring, and analyzing effectiveness of process changes.
  • Other duties related to improving our facility as assigned.
Requirements
  • Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years related work experience
  • Proficiency in PLC programming considered an asset (Schneider Control Expert preferred)
  • Knowledge of automation, CNC machinery, and robotics
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in teams
  • Strong organization and communication skills
